It's hard to say what the best thing about Utah's snow is. The annual pile-up of powder, topping more than 551 inches at Alta, is just insane. The 8.5 percent snow density, which is the perfect volume for flotation, is pure heaven. And the foot of snow that falls every five days from December through March is simply jubilant.
Well, most people, myself included, would say that the best part about Utah's snow is when the white pillows explode into your face, leaving you grinning and wishing you had brought a snorkel. Oh, powder, glorious powder.
But, actually, come to think of it, it's all pretty awesome.
