I've never been so satisfactorily stuffed as after attending a Taste of the Wasatch event. The annual smorgasbord of dainty dishes, which all offer a wallop of flavor, is the tastiest food event in the area. And the best part is that it's calorie-free. Just kidding, the best part is that it raises thousands of dollars to fight hunger in Utah.
The 2014 Taste of the Wasatch event will be held at Solitude Mountain Resort on Sunday, August 3 from noon to 3 p.m.
All of the funds raised this year will support three non-profits: Utahns Against Hunger, Utah Food Bank Services, and Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership, Inc.
There are more than 50 of Utah's best chefs and restaurants, so you get to try the unique platings from all of your favorite spots, or the places that you haven't made it to yet. One of the most interesting features of the event is that you are actually served by the chefs, and you get to ask them questions and have the face time that any curious foodie has always wanted when dining out.
Along with the delicious dishes, there is live music, a raffle, and a live auction. There's even a silent auction; as a side note, Austen Diamond Photography will have a portrait session up for auction, so be sure to check it out and bid!

Photographer's note: Last year, I had the opportunity to be one of the official photographers of the event, which is when these images were taken.
