Hundreds of Santas forgo milk and cookies and go a ho-ho-ho-in' straight for the beer and booze during SantaCon—Utah's largest pub crawl, held annually in downtown Salt Lake City.
SantaCon is "non-denominational, non-commercial, non-political and nonsensical." So, get ready to spread the holiday cheer and make merry as you crawl—or ride a sleigh, or whatever—between bars. You will be joined by hundreds of jolly ol' drinkers for one of Utah's most unusual nights out.
This year's gathering of the Clauses starts at Lumpy's Downtown at 6 p.m. with reindeer games (think holiday drunk Olympics). The crawl will then begin at 8 p.m. Don't forget a new, unwrapped toy when you head to Lumpy's; the donation will benefit Toys for Tots.
The crawl will include the following bars, in order: Green Pig Pub (31 E. 400 S.), Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery (357 S. Main St.), Whiskey Street (323 S. Main St.), Cheers to You (315 S. Main St.), Bourbon House (19 E. 200 S.), Johnny’s on 2nd (165 E. 200 S.), Murphy’s Bar & Grill (160 S. Main St.), and The Hotel (155 W. 200 S.).
