Tim Hite is the founder of The Barber School in Midvale, which is one of only a few schools in the United States that trains barbers in the classic methods of barbering. Hite has taught the craft to more individuals than any other teacher alive, he says. After training with Vidol Sasson in Europe and Paul Mitchell before Mitchell became famous, Hite went on to master every major cutting method, including Pivot Point, Roffler, Redken, Paul Mitchell, Vidal Sasson, and many others. In addition to teaching, Hite continues to cut hair daily. Simply put, this Master Barber and tonsorial artist is a guru within the field.
*The look on Hite’s face as he regards his clippers—the key to his craft—is so filled with nostalgia it's priceless. The second image depicts the proper way to hold a pair of sheers, for which, among his students, Hite is known as a stickler.
