C. Jane Kendrick has a quick wit and a biting sense of humor. She has a goat-sucking demonic creature (lovingly referred to as Chup—short for chupacabra) for a husband, along with a band of little angels. A proud Mormon, she lives in Provo, Utah. And she writes about it all. Kendrick’s readership, both national and local, knows that this eclectic queen of the Utah County—and beyond—blogosphere is as fiery as she is wise when she posts about things ranging from hilarious stories of her childhood, lessons on raising kids and musings on contemporary Mormonism to where to get a decent meal in Provo and which local band to check out.
Kendrick began blogging in 2005, and her blog has won Best Major Blog for the Weblog Awards. She has another Provo-centric blog: C. Jane's Guide to Provo.
*The idea of taking a desk up to the Y (the mountainside insignia for BYU) that rests above downtown Provo was to capture how she, in a sense, sees all of Provo and writes about it. The setup was two lights and patience until the sun set to the ideal level where the gorgeous and colorful lights of the city could be seen. The big, fluffy fur coat was just an added bonus.
